    Set in Stanthorpe QLD, ‘Roy’s Paddock’ features a picturesque rural landscape. ‘Roy’ the miniature horse is standing in the middle of his grassy paddock enjoying the shade of the large eucalyptus tree, their foliage dense and detailed, casting cool shadows on the ground. It is a bright, clear pleasant day with a few wisps of clouds. A rustic fence runs along the foreground reinforcing the rural setting. Frequently Asked Questions

  • After your initial commission enquiry, Shannon will provide you with a quote. With your acceptance of the quote, the process for your finished piece of art is:

    1. Deposit is paid. Timeline for completion is given.

      Reference images, composition, colour schemes are discussed and agreed upon.

    1. Shannon orders your custom canvas and frame

    2. Once your frames arrive Shannon starts creating the magic

    3. Shannon will provide progress pictures and seek your feedback whilst working on your piece

    4. Once the artwork has been approved it will be signed and varnished. Shannon will send your final invoice for the remaining balance.

    5. Once full payment is received, your artwork is packaged securely and shipped to your address with tracking and insurance.

    6. Enjoy your new art! I would love to see a photo of it its new home

  • Absolutely! Shannon would love to see photo or photos of what you have in mind. She can customise the composition by adding, removing and changing elements to create a painting that perfectly matches your vision.

    Quality reference photos make a huge difference in the end product of paintings. If Shannon feels your request does not suit her style, or that she is unable to do your vision justice, she will let you know.

  • Shannon will communicate with you throughout the entire process and send you progress pictures whilst working on your piece to ensure you agree with the creative direction. Let Shannon know if the artwork is a gift and is to be kept secret so she will hold of sharing any of the process on social media.

The Process

  • All artworks are acrylic, painted on Australian made premium stretched canvas, framed in solid American Ash timber. Should you wish for something different, we can discuss during initial consultations.

  • All canvases come framed in quality American Ash timber.

  • All artworks are painted on gallery quality Australian made canvases and frames. They are primed and painted using professional quality Artist Acrylic paints. All artworks are varnished with professional quality varnish to provide a thin protective layer from environmental stresses to ensure your special piece lasts the test of time.

Materials & Mediums

  • Every painting is a labor of love, carefully created between the beautiful chaos of motherhood. I pour my heart into every piece with intention and care and the balance of wearing many hats. I will communicate a timeline with you when booking in the commission and keep you informed throughout the painting process.

Timeline & Availability

  • The commission price is based on the size of the painting. The hours typically spent, cost of materials and shipping have been factored into this pricing structure.

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required, and payable within 7 days. This deposit covers the cost of ordering the custom canvas and frame, and initial consultation time.

  • Upon approval of the completed artwork, an invoice of the remaining balance will be emailed to you, and is payable within 7 days. Payment is to be by bank transfer/direct deposit.

  • The quoted price is the total price you will pay. Prior to finalising your artwork and varnishing, you will be given the opportunity to make changes/additions. Any further changes may result in an additional fee, payable within the final payment. 

    International shipping is not included in the price - please contact Shannon Fay for an accurate shipping quote if located outside of Australia.

Pricing & Payment

  • Shannon Fay Creative retains copyright of the produced artwork.

  • You have permission to share the work publicly and use it on display for private use, but any reproduction of the work, especially reproductions that will be used for profit or commercial uses is strictly prohibited unless approved by the artist in writing. Failing to do is a crime and may result in legal action.

  • Social media sharing and other public sharing of artwork is vital for marketing purposes of the artist. This includes, but is not limited to, artwork potentially being displayed on the artist’s social media accounts, website, studio, brochures, online platforms, and print advertisements and business documents. By commissioning an artwork, you consent to the completed work, as well as reference photos, being used for these purposes. Please note that any reference photos provided need to be the property of the client, or have suitable licences provided by the photographer.

Ownership & Usage

  • Your piece will be varnished, securely packaged and posted. Find out more here.

  • YES! If you live within the Mackay and Sarina region, Shannon offers a free Local Collection option. Details will be provided when your artwork is ready.

  • All shipments are fully insured against loss or damage. Should this unfortunate situation occur please rest assured that you will receive the option for a full refund or a replicated artwork (please note there will be a slight delay to allow a new piece to be painted).

Shipping & Delivery

  • Yes! Please send through an enquiry here and Shannon will happily issue a gift certificate.

  • All artworks are one-of-a-kind originals. Similar colour palettes, compositions and subjects can be reinterpreted into new works but Shannon will ensure all pieces hold their own and are not exact replicas.

  • Prior to finalising your artwork and varnishing, you will be given the opportunity to make changes/additions. It is very important to Shannon that you love your Artwork so please let her know if this is not the case and she will do her best to ensure your piece is perfect for you.

    Due to their personalised nature, commissioned artworks are non-refundable. I provide progress updates to ensure your satisfaction throughout the creation process.
