I had to spontaneously stop the car and capture the moment as the sun set over the hill on Grasstree Beach Road. I loved the golden light of the sun setting behind the tall leafy trees and the herd of Angus cattle created a striking contrast against the green landscape. I selected a fiery pink orange and purple sky to give a sense of warmth and vibrancy the painting. I added long shadows from the trees to enhance the focus of light and its interaction with the landscape.
