Lilac Acres Farm
63cm x 93cm | Acrylic on canvas, shadow box framed in Ash
From the artist:
I pulled the car over on the way to pick up my daughter from Kindy when I saw this group of Brahman cows in a field. I opted for a gentle and delicate colour palette of soft greens and lilacs to give the painting a quiet country feel. I added the purple rolling hills in the background to give the picture better atmospheric perspective and depth. I opted for a soothing mauve sky to float above distant rolling lilac mountains which I added to the painting to give atmospheric perspective. I also added wildflowers to the field to tie in the hues of the sky. A very pretty piece.
